My first race (Victoria, BC 70.3) of the season in the books. My BaseCamp training and Eliel socks got me AG 11th/58 place on the bike leg. An improvement from 23rd my last race. Gotta appreciate the small victory in Victoria, right? We won’t talk about the swim and the run. 😛
I was hearing Coaches Les and Jim from Mallorca camp in my ear all the way through the bike saying, "Use your gears, Mary," and Coach Tim saying, "Show up, do the work, get results." And I was picturing Coach Karen's beautiful cadence as she motors up hills.
