Guadeloupe French Caribbean Cycling Camp

Cycling camp on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe

Join us for an exciting cycling adventure to the French Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe!  The island's warm temperatures in January and February make it a perfect winter training destination for cyclists and triathletes. Guadeloupe is one of the most beautiful islands in the world, and it features a network of well-maintained roads and incredible terrain diversity. Click here to read ten reasons why you should visit Guadeloupe!

This cycling camp is a camp for select riders who want more base miles than our typical cycling camps include. All riders will ride together each day (our other camps offer multiple ride groups each day based on pace), generally at endurance speed, and we'll ride from 50 to 100 miles every day. Because of this, we strongly recommend that you bring your own bike to camp so that you will be prepared for and comfortable on the long rides. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us, because we'll be happy to answer them for you.

Guadeloupe is the Caribbean Cycling Paradise

Guadeloupe’s two main islands look like the wings of a butterfly and are connected by a bridge over the Riviere Salee. The eastern side, Grande Terre, offers gently rolling terrain, sensational white sand beaches, resorts, and Guadeloupe’s largest city, Pointe-a-Pitre Grande-Terre. The western island, Basse-Terre, has a dramatic rain forest, towering waterfalls, and magnificent beaches, and it is home to the wonderful Guadeloupe National Park, which is crowned by the spectacular La Soufrière volcano.

Cycling is Guadeloupe's #1 sport!
The island is home to an annual UCI race!

This cycling paradise is home to the Tour de la Guadeloupe, an annual nine-day international stage race (and part of the UCI American Tour) held each year in August. It is by far the most exciting event on the island, and the entire population joins in! Now in its sixty-fifth year, the event is also the oldest sporting tradition on the island.
